| Three Meadows Group Camp Area, 07/19/0402/17/07 |
Here are a number of pictures of our trip to the Three Meadows Group Campground part of Dworshak State Park in preparation for our daughter’s wedding. This nice group campground is about three miles beyond the Freeman Creek Campground part of Dworshak State Park. Our pictures of Freeman Creek show more of the road leading to the park. There are links at the bottom of the page for Freeman Creek and a map with directions to the area.
We wound up having our daughter’s wedding at this group campground in July of 05 and things worked out quite well. We found it to be reasonably priced, the facilities were convenient, and everyone had a good time.

| (80)A shot through the windshield looking up the road as we leave. This road doesn’t look like much of a problem when you are just driving it with a pickup or a car. However, when we were bringing our 29 foot 5th wheel trailer into the last couple of miles towards Three Meadows, we found that some of these curves can be a little tight. On one of the curves, it was a good thing I was watching my mirror on the right side because I almost hit the guard rail. I had to back up and try again. On the way out, I had the same problem on the left side at the same curve. It turns out that there was some brush on the inside of this curve that sticks out into the road a little bit. You have to actually get quite close to the brush to make the curve. A regular trailer wouldn’t be as much of a problem because the pivot point is farther back. It might not be a good idea to bring a trailer in at night because it would be hard to see the side of a trailer with your mirrors. Also, the folks at the park try to prevent two way traffic on the road between Freeman Creek and Three Meadows. |
