Directions from Lewiston through Orofino

-Take Highway 95/12 heading east from Lewiston.

-After about 8 miles, take Highway 12 towards Missoula, MT. Orofino is about 35 miles east from this point.

- At Orofino, turn left and cross the bridge into the main part of town. After the bridge, a left turn will take you 2 or 3 miles to Ahsahka.

-From Ahsahka, take County Road P1 (also called Old State Rd 7) towards Big Eddy, Cavendish, Southwick, and Kendrick. It is about 10 miles to Cavendish and you will be heading North. Don’t blink!

-Just beyond Cavendish, you will see large grain silos on the right side of the road, on the south east corner of P1 and Freeman Creek Road.

-Turn right (east) on Freeman Creek Road. Go straight for about 4 or 5 miles and the road will start down the hill into Dworshak State Park. The road is paved and full of tight curves for another few miles. Just take it easy. Big motor homes, 5th wheels trailers, and buses make it with out problems.

-You will come to the Freeman Creek Campground entrance. Tell them you are going to Three Meadows Group Campground. The fee for cars is $4.00/day. They will tell you to go straight through the campground for about 3 miles to Three Meadows.
