Spooks on the Power System.

This is a critique of an IEEE paper written by Richard L. Nailen in 1982.

The paper is: Spooks on the Power Line? Inductions Generators and the Public Utility; IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications. VOL. IA-18, NO. 6, Nov/Dec 1982

My problem is with the phasor diagram shown in Fig. 1, page 609 of his paper. In my opinion, Mr. Nailen got confused about the conventions he was using in order to write loop equations around the equivalent circuits for induction or synchronous machines.
