Use:
These have spikes of single 2-inch funnel-shaped flowers in shades of purple with dark stripes. They somewhat resemble hollyhocks, but are bushier and have smaller flowers and leaves. They will flower the first year and are good in perennial borders or for a quick tall edging. it is a little weedy for formal borders.


Culture:
Mystic Merlins are hardy and very easy to grow. They are heat tolerant and disease resistant. They are not long lived and are generally thought to bloom themselves to death. They generously reseed to provide replacement plants.
