Use:
This has double scarlet flowers about 1 inch wide carried in airy, branched clusters that stand well above the foliage clumps. The foliage is nice and remains green relatively long. Geums provide good cut flowers and bright color to the summer perennial border.

Culture:
Geums are adapted to harsh mountain climates and are quite hardy and require little care. They will flower over a long season if dead blooms are removed, otherwise the blooming season is short. Sometimes the long flowering stems need support. The plants are not invasive and can be left in place for up to 5 years, but you will probably get the best flowering if you divide the plants every 2 or 3 years. Divide after flowering in late summer or early fall, or in early spring. Be cardful not to overwater to avoid root rot. They do not need winter protection.
