Use:
Maltese cross is a very brilliant, old fashioned flower. it is good for the perennial border, wild flower garden, or naturalized area. The fiery-red color can liven up the summer border in late June and early July. Maltese cross provides good cut flowers.


Culture:
These plants are easy to care for. They like light, well-drained, well-manured soil in full sun. Wet winter soil can kill the plant. Removing the faded flowers will extend flowering.
