Use:
These are just the old common grayish white, light blue, and white irises with blue edges. They are not really pretty, but they are practically indestructible and might be useful for naturalizing or growing in difficult dry, shady areas. They would probably look bes planted near other irises or perennials having deeper, richer colors.


Culture:
Set plants out so that the new leaves, and hence the main direction of growth, face outward away from the center of the group. Rhizomes should be planted 1" deep. Clumps should be divided at least every forth summer to prevent deterioration. One set of leaves in a fan with several roots below the rhizome makes a suitable division. Avoid wet soil.
