Use:
Earth chestnut has lacy white flowers that resemble Queen Anne's Lace and pretty foliage which would look attractive in the perennial border. The plant sets large clusters of small tubers which tastes like a chestnut and used medicinally as an astringent. the leaves are used for flavoring and as a garnish. The seeds can be used for flavoring foods.


Culture:
Earth chestnut is very easy to grow and requires little care. The plant is hardy and tolerates shade quite well.
