Use:
Carpet bugle is a rapid growing ground cover which produces a nice thick carpet of lustrous leaves and deep blue flower spikes in late spring. Some leaves remain colored and attractive throughout winter. It is excellent under trees or in other shaded areas where grass is hard to grow. It is often used in cemeteries.

Culture:
The only care carpet bugle requires is occasional division to keep the plant in check. Carpet bugle will eagerly spread from the garden into the lawn if there is no barrier to keep it in place.
